I want to clear something up.
When people find out what I do for work, a few assumptions are made. That my whole business is automated. That I’m running AI tools around the clock. That I have some perfectly systematized machine humming in the background while I sip coffee and watch leads roll in. I really don’t.
I go to in-person networking events. I have 1-on-1 conversations. I follow up manually. I spend real time with people before they ever become clients.
That’s not because I don’t know how to automate things or do online marketing – I’m just not that interested in using technology for that part of my business. I genuinely enjoy being around people. I like conversations and real talk. And I want to work on projects with people I know and trust. You can’t automate that.
And here’s the thing: systems don’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes, a system is just color-coding your Google Calendar. Sometimes it’s a simple spreadsheet to get information out of your head, an alarm before a meeting starts so you don’t get sucked into your work and forget, or setting a phone reminder so you actually follow up with someone. A system could be a simple rule you make for yourself about when to check your email inbox or how to filter and organize it.
My work is not about using the fanciest tools. It’s about being intentional instead of reactive. In fact, sometimes the most important thing I help people build isn’t a workflow. It’s a boundary.
The whole reason I got into this work is because I believe your business should fit your life, not the other way around. For me, that means a business built around relationships and community – supported by technology, not replaced by it.
The workflows I help people build aren’t meant to remove the human aspect. They’re meant to protect it, so when you’re in the room with someone, or on a call, or writing an important email, you have the energy to be fully there. That’s what I care about. That’s what HEARTWIRED CO.™ is built on.
If that sounds like the kind of thinking you want in your corner, let’s talk.
I hope this weekend brings you great weather, relaxation, and energizing insights.
